Emilio Del Canto is a first-generation Canadian with a diverse musical background and upbringing. Since his humble beginnings in Saskatoon, Canada, Emilio has forged himself into a prominent DJ, producer, and event promoter in the Canadian music industry — earning a Sask Music Award nomination in 2025. He presently operates at the helm of his event companies Foundation House Music and The Treehouse Series in synergy with other artists, and actively releases tracks via Subvert and Beats Union as well as other underground music distribution platforms. Emilio's passion for electronic music is always apparent in what he does and is held at the forefront of his endeavors.

During his early years, Emilio held a residency at Kass Night Club in Benin, West Africa, and has more recently toured and performed across Canada, the US, and as far South as Mexico and Nicaragua. The influence of his travel and his Chilean roots have resulted in an exciting fusion of musical styles that incorporate an array of tropical, Latin, and tribal-based rhythms as well as deep, soulful house music melodies, chord progressions, and vocals. These melodic and cultural elements form the foundation of his sound — and when the moment calls for it, seamlessly expand into Drum & Bass, and other contemporary electronic genres, reflecting a versatility that keeps any dance floor wanting more.

In performance, Emilio is never afraid to break the mold and explore beyond the expected. His musical spontaneity is balanced by the technical finesse he exhibits behind the decks and in the studio. Instinctually responsive to the dynamic ebb and flow of a dance floor, he is able to connect intimately with his audience through his music and effortlessly manipulates the energy throughout his sets. He pours his heart and soul into his craft, and can always be seen playing out, releasing tracks, throwing events, and making moves to spread the music he loves.
